About Us

At the Sylvan Forest we feel that is important for every individual to develop a close personal connection with the God and Goddess. Therefore we strive to offer people guidance toward making that connection and the tools with which to go about the process. We offer people a group with which to share their talents and ideas as well a safe place in which to worship and learn.

Interested people should:

  • Be open-minded and willing to learn.
  • Realize that Wicca is an active path, and what you put into it is what you will get out in reward. Therefore this is not the path for someone who is unwilling to put any effort into his or her spirituality. This does not mean that you have to put your life on hold, but it does mean that if you want to get anything out of it, you have to do more than just show up.
  • Keep in mind that there are take home assignments in all classes. Most of these assignments are very short and do not require much effort (about 15-30 minutes per week). It is important, however, that they are done.
  • Be willing to agree to the rules of the group such as not harming others, and not giving out disseminated information—including things like names, addresses, phone numbers, class handouts, and other information without specific permission.
